Regardless what city you and your family live in or near, the safety of your family is not as secure as you or I have always believed.
My husband and I recently signed a one year lease in an old established Kannapolis NC that appeared to be very safe.
In fact one of the county official inspectors owns the house next door and lives there.
I walked our neighborhood alone for two months feeling assured and safe....and one day I was walking around 4-5pm...
I encountered leud conduct of a male neighbor which both scared and shocked me.
He was a friend of a female neighbor who both my husband and I respected. She is an educated woman and I trusted her judgement. She told us when we moved into our rent that the neighborhood was very safe and how many years both she and the married couple across the street from her have lived in their own homes.
What we did not realize is there is a tattoo parlor just blocks from where we live and though we saw it...until we lived here for several weeks we were unaware just how geographically close it is.
This neighborhood has been here much longer than the tattoo joint which I believe is the draw for mischieveous adults who have no interest but to make mischief where ever they happen to be.
Tattoos just as initials carved into burndt trees or painted upon walls of buildings are signs of toughness and gang membership which builds and strengthens the culture of criminal behavior.
Mothers...and fathers too...Please join this cause to up root all influences that can lead our children astray and by joining forces of our voices....
As MADD has driven down the rate of drunk driving, the and us together we can be just as MAD and TAT over drugs and tattoos!
